T-Balance suit in ORT-Balance logo

The heat loss of the patient is a problem in surgical operations.

Even a small decrease in the core temperature increases the risks in surgery.

The T-Balance suit has been designed for the use of a surgery patient. The suit’s purpose is to keep the patient warm. The T-Balance is an overall, in where the areas of operation can be opened by zippers. The rest of the body is being covered and unnecessary heat does not escape.

The T-Balance can be used for the entire treatment chain: the suit is dressed on the patient when he/she arrives for surgery. This can be e.g. before giving the premedication or in the day-time surgical unit. It is used during the surgery preparations, during the actual surgery, in the recovery room, and when returning to the ward.

The material

The material of T-Balance is a triple-layer laminate: on top is a sleek microfiber knit and inside a soft micro fleece. Between them is a breathable waterproof membrane, which contains the body heat.

The areas of operation can be opened by zippers. The rest of the body is being covered and unnecessary heat does not escape.

The T-Balance is washed in hospital laundries at +72 degree wet-cleaning like other microfiber products.
